My senior year of college I did an internship in cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation at The Hospital of Saint Raphael in New Haven, CT. Our patients in this nine week program would go from anxious and apprehensive about exercising, to feeling healthier, more confident, and optimistic about their future as a result of our work which was extremely rewarding. I discovered in this experience that there were only two options for our patients upon completion of this program because they had to continue exercising to keep feeling and functioning this way. One was to join a large gym which most found overwhelming, or they could hire a personal trainer which was out of most of their budgets. This is where the idea of Joint Effort was born. My goal was to develop something that was similar to these settings, but less clinical, that was warm and inviting, and provided aging adults and seniors ONLY with an enjoyable, professionally guided, exercise experience that could fit into almost any budget…and thats what I did!

I have two children, a beautiful wife, and a labradoodle named Remy. We live in Connecticut and love spending time on the water in the warmer months, and skiing and hiking in the colder months during the few moments we get in between the kids sports practices and games which I am a coach for some and their biggest fan in others! I personally enjoy running, fishing, and obviously exercising in my free time.
