Maxwell Dunn, BS, CPT
While Attending SCSU, I minored in Exercise Science, Nutrition, and Business Administration.
I love to learn and go to school, which is why I am currently pursuing a Masters Degree in Exercise Science with a concentration in Human performance from SCSU.
I am currently a certified Personal Trainer with the International Sport Science Association. To further my education I have also attended the New England American College of Sports Medicine Fall and Spring conference for the last two years.
During my free time I enjoy hiking with my golden retriever, reading, watching movies, and of course exercising.
Megin Shepard, BS, CPT
I have always had a passion for athletics and helping people (and animals!) since I was a little girl. Whether it was gymnastics, soccer, or just trying to beat my brother in checkers everything was a competition.
This passion for athletics and competition eventually led me to Southern Connecticut State University where I obtained my Bachelor’s of Exercise Science focusing in Human Performance. While pursuing my degree I began personal training and teaching CrossFit classes. This hands on experience truly inspired me to help clients achieve the best versions of themselves no matter what their age!
In order to help clients achieve their goals I have completed my NASM certified personal trainer, CrossFit Level One certification, CrossFit Level Two certification, USA Weightlifting Level One Performance Coach, CrossFit Gymnastics Certification, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, and CPR/AED certified.
Outside of Joint Effort I enjoy hanging out with my husband and dog Lulu, competing in CrossFit, laying on the beach, and napping.
